House Rules

We want your stay to be enjoyable and relaxing, so your first house rule is to HAVE FUN!!

​

Our goal is to always have every property ready for a 4 pm check in. On high turnover days (mid summer), that could be slightly later. Due to high traffic times, there could be hold-ups for our cleaners. We have never had this happen, but if we know there might be an issue, we will notify you early, and have plans in place to let you drop off your items and enjoy a few minutes on the beach while the cleaners finish up.

No parties or events allowed (What qualifies as a party?? (If people are being super loud and clothes are coming off, that may be too much for our genteel establishment)

No smoking allowed (it stinks, in so many ways)

​

No pets allowed (our family has severe animal allergies, so please don't ruin our home for us)

​

Suitable for toddlers and children under 12 (unless you're trying to escape...just let us know if we need to change this rule for you) Be aware this house has lots of stairs!

No unregistered guests allowed (unless they're your private butler and carrying your luggage)

​

Please respect check-in and check-out times (or you may encounter some new friends that may, or may not, be crazy)

​

No illegal substances allowed (drug dogs on premises...just kidding...or, are we?)

Video Surveillance recording cameras monitor the exterior of our home. Footage remains private and may be used for liability reasons and to monitor occupancy and other policies noted here. It in no way infringes upon the expectation of privacy in these public areas. To disable or obscure the cameras is prohibited and may result in eviction without refund.

And most importantly....if you're coming for the Hangout Music Festival, we are a NO GLITTER home. If you want to get glittered up, please book another place. You will be charged extra for glitter found in the house.

If you don't agree with any of our rules, you have 24 hours to cancel penalty-free. Failure to follow any house rules may lead to charges against card on your account or eviction.

Storms

 

If there is a storm or hurricane, no refunds will be given unless:
    a.  The state or local authorities order a "mandatory evacuation" in a "Tropical Storm/Hurricane Warning" area and/or
    b.  A "mandatory evacuation" order has been given for the "Tropical Storm/Hurricane Warning" area of residence of 
      vacationing guest.

 

In the event the authorities order a mandatory evacuation, we will refund:
  Any unused portion of rent from an occupying guest
  Any unused portion of rent from a guest scheduled to arrive, and 
  they want to shorten their stay or come in after the warning has 
  lifted, including any rent collected prior to a stay scheduled to 
  begin during the Tropical Storm/Hurricane Warning" period.
